Reda Dennis joined Diamond McCarthy in September 2005. Prior to joining the firm she interned at the Office of the United States Trustee in Oakland, California. Reda has experience in environmental and bankruptcy law, and her practice centers around complex litigation matters.
Some of Reda's recent work includes:
- Representation of a Philippine Province in an environmental tort suit against a multinational mining company
- Representation of a limited partner in a breach of partnership agreement action against its general partner and the partnership
- Representation of a Dutch bank in a suit involving officer and director liability and breach of fiduciary duty claims
- Defense of a national travel group against a competitor alleging misappropriation of trade secrets and corporation opportunities
Reda received her JD from the University of California Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law, where she received a Certification of Specialization in Environmental Law. While attending Boalt, Reda served as Publishing Editor of the Ecology Law Quarterly, during which time she published pieces on environmental and administrative topics. She also served as Competitive Teams Coordinator for the Boalt Hall Moot Court Board, was a member of the OC @ Boalt, and was a fellow in the Environmental Law Institute's Associates Program. Reda was an assistant instructor in various courses offered at Boalt, including Legal Research & Writing, Written & Oral Advocacy, and the Environmental Law Writing Seminar, and was a finalist in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition.
Reda received her B.A. degrees in History and Humanities from the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with honors. She was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and the University of Texas Humanities Honor Society.
Reda is a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Environmental Law Research Institute, and the Houston Downtown Alliance.
Reda is licensed to practice law in Texas and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
