Wendy K. Laubach has participated in numerous large, complex bankruptcies on both the debtor and the creditor sides, including Texaco (debtor), Continental Airlines I (debtor), MCorp (debtor), Continental Airlines II (creditor/exit financing), TWA (creditor), and a number of other debtors and creditors in cases involving the airline, real estate development, electrical power, and other industries, in Texas, California, Michigan, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, and New York. In addition, she has participated in a number of out-of-court restructurings, including the representation of aircraft lessors to Aeromexico, Mexicana, and TAESA and the representation of debtors and creditors in U.S. and Mexican restructurings in diverse industries including healthcare, electrical power, home-loan finance, real estate, retail, computer services, and bottling.

She has extensive experience in negotiating and litigating issues such as debtor-in-possession financing, executory contract disputes, disclosure statement approvals and plan confirmation from both the debtor's and the creditor's perspectives. Her experience includes appeals of bankruptcy issues to the District Courts, Circuit Courts, and the Supreme Court.

She is a magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rice University (1978) who holds her J.D. (with honors) from the University of Houston (1984), where she served as Chief Articles Editor of the Houston Law Review. She is licensed in Texas and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Northern Districts of Texas.
