Diamond McCarthy Partner Sofia Adrogué served as Chair and Founder of the 2019 Youth Leadership Forum, held at Diamond McCarthy’s Houston office on April 9, 2019.
With a mission to engage, educate and empower, the Youth Leadership Forum was developed to provide young individuals with educational opportunities outside of a traditional classroom. These forums offer unique workshop programs that address leadership, general governance and community, and provide an opportunity to interact with business professionals and civic leaders, while also offering successful tips on how to excel in life and their future careers.
Previously held at Rice University for fifteen years plus, a truncated forum was hosted by Diamond McCarthy and welcomed more than ninety students and fifteen volunteers from AAMA’s George I. Sanchez Charter High School and fifteen influential speakers from the Houston community.
Speakers of the program included: Rafael Alvarez, Patrick Bresette, Judy Camarena, Frances Castañeda Dyess, Jonathan “Baby Jay” Gutierrez, Benjamin Hernandez, Christian Navarro, Tina Paez, Angelica Razo and Y. Ping Sun.
Breakfast for the Forum was sponsored by Christian Navarro, Villa Arcos Mexican Restaurant and lunch was sponsored by Judy Camarena, Arandas Franchises, Inc.
