Lance Coburn Joins Diamond McCarthy to Lead New Las Vegas Office

Diamond McCarthy is pleased to announce that Lance Coburn has joined the firm as a Partner.  Lance will lead the firm’s Construction and Media Law Practices, as well as the newly opened Las Vegas office.

Lance has extensive experience representing Las Vegas resort hotel and casino developers in complex construction cases, lien litigation and construction defect claims.  He was co-lead counsel for the owner of one of the world's largest mixed use development projects in a construction defect case involving claimed damages of more than $400 million, one of the largest such cases in the country.  Lance was recognized in the 2016 edition of Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation.    

In addition to all aspects of construction and media law, Lance has extensive experience in securities litigation and regulatory affairs, intellectual property, alcoholic beverage programs, and insurance coverage litigation in both state and federal courts.  He was also an Adjunct Professor of Media Law at UNLV’s Boyd School of Law and served as General Counsel for the Nevada Press Association.

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Lance graduated Order of the Coif and received his J.D. with distinction from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law.  He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and all Nevada State Courts.
