Mr. Valinoti is an attorney in Diamond McCarthy’s San Francisco office and is an experienced litigator with extensive hands-on practical experience in all phases of litigation, including investigation, initial pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice and argument, trial and appeals. He has experience in managing complex residential mortgage litigation matters on a national basis for mortgage banking clients.
Mr. Valinoti represents clients at depositions, motion hearings, scheduling, case management, and settlement conferences, trials, mediations and arbitrations. He is adept at client counseling, formulating and implementing litigation strategy, discovery and motion practice, oral argument and settlement negotiation. Mr. Valinoti also assists clients in prosecuting and defending claims relating to the alleged theft and/or misappropriation of trade secrets, loan officers, client lists and business relationships.
Over the past 25 years of his combined practice in New York, New Jersey, and California, Mr. Valinoti has developed a broad state and federal commercial litigation practice focusing on general business, contracts, fraud, real estate and real property, and unfair competition claims.
Mr. Valinoti received his B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University in 1986 and his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School in 1991, where he served as Articles Editor of the New York Law School Law Review and was a member of the New York Law School Moot Court Board. While in law school, he also received the American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Writing II and the Justice William Kapelman Memorial Award for Excellence in Oral Argument.
