James King is a commercial litigator focused on representing a variety of clients in complex disputes before federal and state courts in New Jersey, New York and other jurisdictions across the country. With his unique background as an auditor and MBA, James is skilled at resolving litigation involving complicated financial and business issues, including contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud and negligence or intentional misconduct by auditors, accountants and lawyers.
In addition, James handles business litigation concerning trade secret theft, non-compete agreements and leasehold disputes. He also has experience in conducting internal investigations related to SEC compliance, anti-bribery compliance and other potential internal control deficiencies.
Before entering legal practice, James worked for a multinational auditing and consulting firm, where he gained first-hand knowledge of the auditing process and sophisticated financial structures that few litigators can bring to the table. This experience helps James analyze transactions and audit files more efficiently and uncover the illegal activities or negligence that harm his clients’ business interests.
