Thomas Watson is an experienced litigation Partner in Diamond McCarthy’s Los Angeles office. He primarily focuses his practice on the trial and arbitration of complex matters, with an emphasis on commercial, energy, securities, bankruptcy, patent, human rights, and international and cross-border disputes. Throughout his career, he has represented a variety of Fortune 500 companies, investment firms and hedge funds, high tech companies, energy companies and high-net-worth individuals, to name a few.
Having practiced for twenty-five years, Thomas has represented clients in federal and state courts across the country, including appellate courts, and has had numerous successful trials, including both federal and state multi-week jury trials. He also has extensive experience representing clients in both U.S. and international arbitration.
Thomas has significant knowledge and an understanding of the False Claims Act, having represented individuals who blow the whistle and report fraud committed against the government, as well as government entities pursuing fraud recovery.
Thomas received his J.D. from Georgetown University School of Law and his A.B. in Social Studies, cum laude, from Harvard University. He was also a Harvard University Pforzheimer Public Service Fellow.
