Thomas B. Watson
Thomas B. Watson is an experienced litigation Partner in Diamond McCarthy’s Los Angeles office. He primarily focuses his practice on the trial and arbitration of complex matters, with an emphasis on commercial, energy, securities, bankruptcy and patent litigation. In addition, Thomas has experience with the False Claims Act, including involvement in two qui tam lawsuits. Throughout his career, he has represented a variety of Fortune 500 companies, investment firms and hedge funds, high tech companies, energy companies and high-net-worth individuals, to name a few.
Having practiced for almost twenty five years, Thomas has represented clients in federal and state courts across the country, and has had numerous successful trials, including both federal and state multi-week jury trials. He also has experience representing clients in arbitration both nationally and internationally.
Thomas has significant knowledge and an understanding of the False Claims Act, representing individuals who blow the whistle and report fraud committed against the government, as well as representing government entities pursuing fraud recovery.
Thomas received his J.D. from Georgetown University School of Law and his A.B. in Social Studies, cum laude, from Harvard University, where he served as a Harvard University Pforzheimer Fellow from 1991-1992.
